Puerto Vallarta Mexico

                                   Girlfriends Getaway to Mexico

Puerto Vallarta is located in Jalisco Mexico. They are know for great beaches and wonderful weather, You can not tell from the pictures but it rained almost the whole time we were there.  That did not stop us. We had a great time!!! We took advantage of the rain and went on a jungle tour. We also rode ATV's and got down and dirty in the mud. Our tour guide took us to a waterfall. I thought GREAT I've always wanted to jump off a cliff and there I was scared as a little duck I was shaking in my bikini!!After 15 minutes of 5-4-3-2-1 I finally jumped off the baby cliff!!! Yay for me:)The food was great and the nightlife was even better!!

*Hawaii Kona Island*

Aloha. The Beautiful Island of Kona is one of the gorgeous island in Hawaii. My family and I went there in 2006 for a Work Conference. Luckily we were able to see the beautiful sights too. What made this trip fun is because we rented a car. And we drove around the island. I felt so free. Just the thought of not knowing what would come next was nice. I will forever remember Kona for my mom getting drunk and yelling HAWAII out the back set of the rental car. You had to be there. to this day she tells everyone she was not drunk. But who yells HAWAII out the window in the middle of the day. My drunk mother does!!!! GREAT memories:)

My sister and I went for a cheap "Sister Getaway" The reason I call it cheap is because she had FREE Flights on Southwest Airlines and We booked our hotel at the W for $79.00 a night. Normally the hotel alone is $500.00 a night.

We had so much fun we took a cooking class at The New Orleans School of Cooking. We learned to make Gumbo, Dirty Rice and Bread putting.... Yum, Yum, Yum I can taste it now!!
We got the party started a The Cats Meow.It is a Karaoke bar located on Bourbon street. There motto is "A LITTLE PUSSY NEVER HURTS"Whats not to love about that... So we sang our asses off. Thanks to Nelly's It's Getting Hot In Here. Carla and I personally feel responsible for making that Karaoke Bar the HOTTEST BAR THAT NIGHT!!!!! Oh yeah did I mention the $3.00 Beers. If you Buy one beer for 3.00 you get 2 FREE!!! WHAT!!!!! Two FREE BEERS Why did we ever leave:)

Best Breakfast in New Orleans
The Original Cafe Du Monde Coffee Stand was established in 1862 in the New Orleans French Market. The Cafe is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It closes only on Christmas Day and on the day an occasional Hurricane passes too close to New Orleans.
The Original Cafe Du Monde is a traditional coffee shop. Its menu consists of dark roasted Coffee and Chicory, Beignets, White and Chocolate Milk, and fresh squeezed Orange Juice. The coffee is served Black or Au Lait. Au Lait means that it is mixed half and half with hot milk. Beignets are square French -style doughnuts, lavishly covered with powdered sugar. In 1988 Iced Coffee was introduced to the cafe. Soft drinks also made their debut that year.

Rosarito- Ensenada 50 Mile Bike Ride

50 Miles....... Yeah I wrote it right. This is the Annual bike ride from Rosarito to Ensenada Mexico. This was the weekend that everything went wrong and right all at the same time. Well first of  all I did not TRAIN for this trip to hell. Or Motto for this trip is "Real Women Do Not Train!!!" Well I now know for sure is that SMART WOMEN do train. I was in so much physical pain!!! My ASS was on FIRE!!!! And my spirits were as low as they could go.
"We" meaning Karen and I were one of the last people to cross the finish line. Sandra on the other hand was drinking beer and wine at the finish line with the help of the Sag Waggon.Lucky Girl..... Which will pick up at a certain point if you are not able to finish. I remember Karen looking at me dead in the eyes and saying "I can visualise the finish line". And I thought well if she can see it Then I can see it too. She was right we finished together:)I never realised to importance of support she was my support and I was hers also. There were times when I wanted to stop and I told her no lets just go a Little further. And together we finished:)
