Vacation to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Oh the beauty of this country!!!
My love and I decided to get out of the box and visit a country that is known for beautiful beaches and warm weather. So the DR it was!
We took a 2 week adventure together first DR then we spent  3 nights in New Orleans. Here are some of the high lights!
Flying first   class.
So we got a little crazy! This is why he is my Best Friend!!!
Our first picture at the resort! With our welcome deinks
We stayed at the Melia Caribe Tropical. They have an adult only side called The Level. It's beautiful. And did I mention No Kids!!!
I researched the hell out of this place. And we had no complaints. The property and the service are all wonderful!
Early morning breakfast with the peacocks.
Being on The Level side we get golf carts to take us all around the huge property. And with the Dominican humidity, you defiantly need it.
Cheers Baby! I love you!
Ahhh the pools, they are so many and all serve drinks!!!
This hotel will always be special to us. We planted a mango tree. So now every time we come back we get to see our tree growing.
We were celebrating our one year together. All white night!
Fresh coconuts were everywhere. The ground keepers, just picked them off the tree for you. So wonderful!!
Our days were spent lounging by the pool.
Eric and I took a day trip to go ATV-ing and took a dip in the fresh water lagoon. Then a catermeran took us to have an amazing lunch under the palm trees. Followed by drinks in the natural pool. It was all amazing! I actually want to so it all over again!
This is the end result of strangers now best friends drinking in the ocean together! Such great memories! Well what I can remember.;-)

Surfing Madonna 10 Mile Run

Let me be honest! I have not been running. So today's 10 mile run was very difficult for me . I have not really trained since August.
My friend injured herself, so she gifted me a race. The Surfing Madonna held in the beautiful beach town of Encinitas. The weather was picture Perfect, race was well organized. The expo has great venders. Only problem was running 10 miles in the damn sand! Yikes! Gotta  get back to running on a regular. I miss being able to run an easy 10 miles.
