Fit-Fab and Lean 2013

Fit-Fab and Lean 5k/Half Marathon  is the first time that I've ran a "Virtual Race". A Virtual race is when you run when ever you want. Report your race results on Facebook and they send you a Medal:) Easy Right?
I was a little scared to sign up because I had no idea how the Medals would look or if she would even send it to me! But to my surprise it went well. The Organization kept in contact through Facebook and personal email. And the Medals were super cute and nice. I had a great time running and I got a Super Cute Medal.

NYC Marathon 2013

Finally I received my 2013 Confirmation for the NYC Marathon! I'm SUPER excited about having the opportunity to run this Marathon again. With last years Sandy cancellation. I feel like this is my year for finally fulfill my dream of being a Marathon Runner! I have so many things to plan running schedules, a trip to NYC ( I live about 6,000 miles away) New shoes, new running course, TIME!!! Running is my new love but it does take a lot out of me. Mentally and Physically.

It's Electric/ Electric Run 5k-San Diego

Electric run is a fun night of running in the dark with a bunch of Strangers!!! The whole Del Mar Fair Grounds were lit with lights and flashing strobe lights. This 5k took you through tunnels and glow in the dark paved course. Super FUN!!

La Jolla Half Marathon/5k

Today I ran the La Jolla 5k. I received a comped entry for volunteering at the Expo! YAY!!! I was so not expecting to run this 5k. The La Jolla Half is a great Marathon to run. The views are amazing and everyone is out to have fun!

Yay I finished!

Safari Park Half Marathon!

I had such a fun time running the Safari Park Half. The morning started out with a 30min drive to Escondido to the North County Fair Mall. From there we ran to the park!! The run was so pretty we saw vineyards, animals, and since it was Cinco De Mayo, there was a man with Beer, Chips and Salsa! Around mile 6 there was a cute cow that you could take pictures with. I was too busy trying to catch up with the 2:20 pace.... I could not catch her so I stayed in front of the 2:30 pacers. Around mile six you hit a long and drawn out hill. The hill is located inside the Park, so you can't see it from the road then all of a sudden it hits you and your thighs!!! Tons of FUN..... NOT!!!!! Mile 13 ended inside the Park with a great crowd cheering us on!!! The half marathon was very challenging for me but fun at the same time. My official time was 2:28:49! Oh yeah I forgot to mention Karen and I wore out Animal Pants!!!
