Rock n Roll San Diego Half Marathon

Ahhh, Another half marathon. Today I ran the rock 'n' roll San Diego.
Rock n Roll Marathons are always fun. The coures was surprisingly awesome. We ran through lots of little cute quaint neighborhoods. And boy did the neighborhood show out. A few of the houses even had a bar set up in their front yard. So much fun to run, and have a shot of tequila. All at mile four!!!
I finished strong, and felt great!!!
Here are a few pictures.

LA Marathon

The best part of race week was spending 4 days with my boyfriend. He had a surprise work trip to LA. So we took full advantage of our week together. We spent the week at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. We had lunch and sat on the patio and had beers. A great weekend of us just being together.
We went to Lights on LA, which was an event that took place all over La. Asics celebrated the 30th year of the LA Marathon by lightin up all 26 mile markers of the race. Kinda crazy to see how far 26.2 miles really is. We went up to the Griffith Obsovtory, and boy the views did not disappoint! Georgeous views of Los Angeles!
After seeing Los Angeles at night we spent the day in Venice Beach! Home of muscle beach and all things crazy! Lunch beers, and of course the beautiful ocean!
So I had a goal the beginning of the year to run in my sports bra! Why because my tummy and I have in the past have a love hate relationship. So it was a goal. And luckily I felt good enough to do it!!
Even though I did not run in my sports bra I did feel good about my body.
When Eric left on Saturday I headed off to the Marathon Expo! Oh boy full of runners goodies!!
Every time I go to any expo I really feel proud, just for signing up and being apart of such a huge event!
Took me forever to find my name!!!
Hello Heat! Running this LA Marathon was really hard for me. I was officially hot as Hell it was 87degrees. May not seem that bad, but my body did not feel the same way. Mile 10 was rough to complete with out feeling over heated. So I decide to walk. And I ended up walking the rest of the race. I'm not one to mess with my body or to push myself when it comes to heat.
Third Marathon Completed!!! What's Next?!?!?!?!

LA Marathon

This weekend is the LA marathon! I will be running 26.2 miles down the historic streets of Los Angeles! I'm excited this will be my 3rd Marathon. First in my own state.
The LA Marathon holds special meaning to me, being a little girl we use to go to LA every year around this time for my great aunts birthday. She lived to be 104 years old. And as a little girl I remember seeing all the runners. Actually we were detoured because of te street closures.
At the age of 38 returning as an athlete is pretty awesome! I'm super proud to be a runner. I've trained for about 6 months for this race.
I'm ready to hit the streets and see this city on Foot:-)

Chicago Race Weekend! 2014

Chicago Marathon~
About 8 months ago I decided to set out on my journey of a second Marathon. This time I choose Chicago!
Yes, the Windy City! I've been training for the past 8 months. Running all over the streets of San Diego.

Just a few of my training runs.

This Thursday my sister and I arrived in the Georgeous City.

           View from our Hotel.
We stayed at Hotel Chicago. It's a moderate hotel in a great location. We are able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Only spent 6 bucks on public transportation the whole trip.

Day one we started off at the marathon Expo!

My morning run! Last run before the Big Rave!
I ran to Navy Pier about 5 miles, there and back.
The city is so Beautiful in the Fall.
