Hike up to Three Sisters Waterfall

Life is an Adventure!!!

Finally we made it up the mountain to see the 3 Sisters waterfalls.  We have been talking about this waterfall for  about a year. 

So this is how it went down. 

It's a long drive about 1 hour. Then just getting there you are out in the middle of no where. Our Gps stopped working so it was a little challenging just finding the start. 

The terain is tough. Defiantly not a hike for beginners. You have to climb ropes, go down hills, and climb over boulders.

Sounds like fun right, until you're in the middle of it and you realize you're only at the beginning. Like I said, definitely a challenging hike.

Today was a little bit more challenging, because of the weather. We experienced fog and even a little drizzle.

Finally after trailing through brush and poison ivy. You can start to hear the waterfalls.

The three sisters waterfall hike gets its name. Because of the three waterfalls.  The  lower the middle and then the highest.

All three are beautiful and today were filled with rushing water.

We made it to the top! Top of Cowles Mountain!! Today was a beautiful day ! Perfect for hiking and playing with Mother Nature.

Awww, we were at a party the other night and talked about hiking so, today we hit the trail! 

We went on a 4 mile trail walk through Rancho San Diego. It was perfect weather and great company. So nice to get out and breath fresh air!

I love hiking! Spent the morning on a 8 mile hike with these lovely ladies! I love nature and all things outdoors!

I finally made an afternoon Hike with my running group Black Girls Run! We made it up just in time to catch a beautiful sunset! Love my girls.

We took our hiking adventure out of San Diego and hit up LA! Hollywood Baby! We woke up early to drive 2 1/2 hours to hike this historical Landmark. 

This is the only sign, once you get up into the trails your on your own. Thank goodness for strangers helping us.

Oh yeah, It's on private property so you can only get so far up to the actual sign. 

Along the way you see panoramic  views of LA.

Hiking Iron Mountain

I love to be active on the weekends. Part of me is constantly reminded that I use to be a fat girl, and that maybe I'm not as active as I thought. I feel SUPER STRONG HEALTHY!, but something about getting out on the trail, I start to feel not so strong. I think the heat got to me today. I love to wake up early and be active, but I think the old me mentality sometimes kicks in. 

    I feel like I'm constantly reminded that I use to be fat. And I'm ok with that I just feel sometimes, I hold other people back. It sucks to feel strong and then get out on the trail and instantly feel weak minded!

Finally made it to the top! 

Iron Mountain is a Beautiful hike! Make sure you bring tons of water. The hike is only 3 1/2 miles, but is a killer if your not prepared!

More Hiking!

Today we woke up early to hike the mission Trails. And Stair way to heaven! Boy was this a tough hike. I think I love junking more than I ever thought. The weather was perfect, a little over cassed.
